Meet Tara

Greetings, fellow travelers

I'm Tara. Native New Yorker, unabashed Disney adult, and mother of twin dragons cleverly disguised as neurodivergent elementary schoolers. I've called D.C., Anchorage, Santa Barbara, and now Philadelphia home.

As a concierge travel advisor, I love designing experiences my clients dream about long after they've arrived home. A Haunted Mansion wedding with a bespoke wallpaper-print gown (that one may have been mine). The ultimate cruise with glacier walks ending in a glass-domed rail trip to Denali National Park. An accessible honeymoon in the Wizarding World complete with Frog Choir love song. A fireworks-lit proposal at the Contemporary's California Grill, framed on the bridge overlooking the Magic Kingdom sixteen floors up. Learning to make tortillas on a fogón in a village outside Costa Maya, because luxury isn't always having a butler (editor's note: although it certainly helps).

Sometimes it's the experience that no one else would think to book for you.

Access and inclusion

Access and inclusion are at the core of everything I do; they're not a specialty I chose, but rather the life I live. In addition to being a long-time teacher of Deaf and DeafBlind students (yes, I'm fluent in American Sign Language), I'm a 47-year-old mom with my own disabilities raising 9-year-old twins with theirs. Having a spectacular vacation shouldn't require recovering from the vacation.

Rest is on the itinerary

I view rest as part of the itinerary, not a failure of it. Thermal suites are the quietest rooms on the ship: warm, dim, no line, nobody needing "just one more thing". Salt rooms are the afternoon sensory reset that perfectly complement a morning spent swimming with stingrays. Club level means real food without a reservation for you while your slightly-less-sophisticated-but-no-less-demanding travel companions enjoy every Mickey-shaped snack under the sun. I know what Club Kilimanjaro is worth on day four, because I've needed it on day four. Here are some of my favorites:

What concierge means here

This is what concierge means when I say it: before you pack a single bag, I've already asked the questions you didn't know needed answers. The ones most families discover standing in a hot queue at one o'clock with a melting Mickey bar and a meltdown brewing. Your plan is built for your actual days, not an idealized version of them. Where you're eating and why. What deserves an upgrade and what's a waste of a Lightning Lane. Where the quiet is hiding, and the graceful exit for the moment someone needs a break.

And I keep working long after you approve your itinerary. Dietary and celebration notes go to every restaurant at the resort, not just the ones you asked about. Accessibility arrangements are confirmed at the outset of planning, then confirmed again a week out from your travel date.
